Monkeys and the like. . .

The Orangutans are a little bit blurry, but the baby was so cute I included the photos anyway. Did you know that the mother pretty much never puts the baby down, no one else helps take care of it? She will nurse it for the first 3-5 years of its life, and she won't have any more babies until it is about 8. Now that is quite the responsibility as a parent. . . . Imagine if people were that devoted to their children. . .

A Day at the Zoo

Today I spent a few hours wondering around the Phoenix Zoo.
Below I've included my favourite picture from the day, but I plan on uploading a few more later once I have a chance to go through them a bit more.
The Zoo is much like any other zoo I think, mostly animals in cages/pens. There were a few exhibits where you actual were allowed to go into the exhibit with the animals. This made it a bit easier to get some photos without fencing in the way. Here is a squirrel monkey:
